CONFERENCE VENUE

Bled Strategic Forum will be held at Hotel Golf, Cankarjeva 4, Bled.

Opening ceremony and the Leaders’ Panel will be taking place at Bled Festival Hall, Cesta svobode 11, Bled. Live video stream will be provided in the Festival Hall lobby and in the Streaming Room on the 1st floor.

Business BSF will be held at Hotel Golf, Cankarjeva 4, Bled as well.

Networking reception and the Night Owl Session will be held at Grand Hotel Toplice, Cesta svobode 12, Bled.

Young BSF (by separate YBSF invitation only) will be held at various locations in Ljubljana.

The Conference Centre at Hotel Golf will be open as follows:

  • Sunday, 3 September 2017, from 9:00 to 20:00
  • Monday, 4 September 2017, from 9:00 to 20:00
  • Tuesday, 5 September 2017, from 8:00 to 18:00.

ACCOMMODATION

We will take care of the booking only for Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and Secretary Generals of International Organisations, Panellists and Moderators. Please note that all other participants have to book their hotel rooms directly at the hotel. 

Due to a limited hotel capacity, we advise you to book no later than 10 August 2017.

WORKING LANGUAGE

The official language of the conference will be English.

REGISTRATION

Registration is only possible if you have received an official invitation on your email address.

Please register your participation at the conference by using ‘register’ button in the email invitation you received. You will need to provide your personal and logistical details. Please not that you cannot change the personal details once submitted, while you can change your travel details until 20 August 2017.

Once you register, you will receive an electronic confirmation with a generic code on your designated email address. You should print it or save it on your mobile phone (or have it in an email inbox that you can access with your mobile phone), so you will be able to show it to us at the accreditation desk. With this email you will also receive a link with access to your registration information, where you will be able to change your logistical details.

Without formal registration, we will not be able to send you an automated message containing the official voucher (a few days before the event) for receiving your accreditation on the ground.

ACCREDITATION

Please note that you need to pick up your accreditation badge at the Information and Accreditation Desk at Hotel Golf before the opening of the Forum, as there will be a security check at conference halls’ entrances. In order to make the security check as smooth as possible, please make sure to arrive at the venue sites ahead of time. You should print or save your registration code (that will be sent to you a few days before the event), so you will be able to show it to us at the accreditation desk.

Accreditation badges will be distributed at the Information & Accreditation Desk at Hotel Golf.

Information & Accreditation Desk (Phone: TBA) is located in the lobby of Hotel Golf and will be open as follows:

OFFICIAL CARRIER

 10Turkish Airlines is the Official Carrier of the Bled Strategic Forum 2017 and special discounts are offered on certain booking classes. For discounts, please visit the Turkish Conventions Website and use the event code 139TKM17 under delegate section.

Please note that the discount prices are applicable for the participant and one accompanying person, and are only valid for flights to Ljubljana, seven days before and seven days after the event.

TRANSPORT

Arriving by airplane

A shuttle service will be organised for BSF participants between Ljubljana Airport and Bled.

Please note that a shuttle service will be provided for those only who have expressly indicated this option in their registration form and provided all the needed logistical details. Other guests might accompany you in the shuttle.

For those of you who have expressly indicated this option in the registration form, we will provide a shuttle service between Ljubljana Airport and Bled.

Arrival

Shuttle will depart from Ljubljana airport parking lot and drop you in front of the Hotel Savica. Please note there will be an information desk set up at the airport with our staff, who will gladly answer any questions you might have and escort you to the shuttle.

Shuttle will run according to the following schedule:

Sunday (3.9.) – From 6:00 to 23:00, every half an hour

Monday (4.9.) – From 6:00 to 23:00, every half an hour

Departure

Departure shuttle will depart from Hotel Savica and drop you at the airport parking lot. We advise you to depart at least two hours prior to your flight. Should you need any further information regarding departures, our staff will be glad to help you at the Registration and Information desk in Hotel Golf.

Shuttle will run according to the following schedule:

Tuesday (5.9.) – From 5:00 to 21:30, every half an hour

Wednesday (6.9.) – From 5:00 to 17:00, every half an hour

Detailed information regarding transport will also be available at the Information & Accreditation Desk in the Hotel Golf lobby.

Arriving by automobile

If you will be arriving to Bled with an automobile and will use Slovenian motorways and highways, you will need to buy a vignette (this can be obtained at any petrol station or highway rest area).

 MEALS

A Networking reception for all participants will be held on Monday, 4 September 2017 at 20:00 at the Grand Restaurant, Grand Hotel Toplice, Cesta svobode 12, Bled.

Lunch for all participants will be held on Tuesday, 5 September 2017 between 12.00 and 14.30 at the Golf Restaurant, Hotel Golf, ground floor, Cankarjeva 4, Bled.

Coffee breaks are scheduled during the conference.

 LEISURE TIME & GUIDED TOUR

During leisure time (Monday, 4 September from 10:00 to 12:00) a guided tour will take place. You will receive an email with an invitation, where you will be able to sign up for the tour. Guests are welcome to register as well as at the Information & Accreditation Desk, where additional information is also available.

The departure point will be at Hotel Golf, Cankarjeva 4, Bled.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

Visa requirements should be met prior to arrival in Slovenia. To obtain visas on time, we recommend applying for them as soon as possible, but no later than 10 August 2017.

Participants requiring entry visas should submit a copy of their registration form and the invitation to the conference to the nearest diplomatic mission of the Republic of Slovenia or to a diplomatic mission of a Schengen state representing Slovenia in visa matters. Further information is available at the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia. Participants with a valid Schengen visa, a resident permit or a long-term visa of any Schengen state do not require an additional visa to enter Slovenia. Participants are requested to indicate this on the registration form.

PRESS INFORMATION

Press Centre will be located in Hotel Kompas and will be equipped with internet connection (LAN and W-LAN), five computers and a printer.

The Press Information & Accreditation Desk will be located in the lobby of the Hotel Kompas.

The Press Centre will be open as follows:

  • Sunday, 3 September 2017, from 15:00 to 20:00
  • Monday, 4 September 2017, from 9:00 to 22:00
  • Tuesday, 5 September 2017, from 8:00 to 18:00.

Guests are invited to download the Bled Strategic Forum mobile application, which will be obtainable via the App Store (for iOS users) and Google Play Store (for Android users).
